position on a Major League coaching staff ... Was named to his current position on 11/14/08, replacing Bill
Castro, who was named pitching coach ... Underwent prostate surgery on 4/29/10 but returned to the team on
5/25 (left the team on 4/23) ... Served as pitching coach at Triple-A Nashville (2005-08) prior to
being named to his current position ... Also served as a pitching coach in the Brewers organization at
Class-A High Desert (2001), Double-A Huntsville (2002-03) and
Triple-A Indianapolis (2004) ... Has additional coaching experience in the farm systems of
Chicago-NL (1992-93, 1997-2000) and Colorado (1994-96) ... His first coaching job was with Bend of the independent Western
League in 1991

Pitched for 11 seasons in the minor leagues with Chicago-NL
(1979-83), Oakland (1984-87), Los Angeles (1988), San Francisco
(1989) and Milwaukee (1989)
... Was selected by the Cubs in the fourth round of the 1979 draft.
