Inside the Clubhouse: Forever Giants

"Once a Giant, forever a Giant." SFG Productions, the in-house production company of the San Francisco Giants, shows why this adage is true with its upcoming television show, "Inside the Clubhouse: Forever Giants," premiering Saturday, July 16th on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. The recent Legends Game at AT&T Park welcomed Giants legends home in style, and SFG Productions takes fans behind the scenes throughout the day, capturing every moment from the bus ride to the exclusive player breakfast, and simultaneously illustrating why these Giants greats are so important to the franchise itself.

Perennial All-Star Will Clark, a familiar face in dugouts at all levels of the Giants organization, flew in from Louisiana, and Cy Young Award winner Mike McCormick made the cross-country trip from North Carolina to take part in the festivities, which featured Giants players from every decade of San Francisco teams: 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980, 1990s, and 2000s. "Inside the Clubhouse" goes inside this rather eclectic Giants clubhouse: viewers get to see former teammates trading pre-game gibes, younger legends sharing stories with earlier generations, and fan favorites like Shawn Estes, Jeff Kent, Shawon Dunston and J.T. Snow taking the field once again in the Orange and Black.

Former Giants take advantage of every opportunity to mentor current Giants players, and the Legends Game was no exception. The Legends roster featured more than 30 All-Star selections, 10 Gold Glove Awards, three Cy Young Awards, an NL MVP, and a Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, all eager to share stories and tips with the 2011 Giants team. Giants executives also offer their perspectives on the legacies of these legends in exclusive interviews only available on "Inside the Clubhouse."
