The grant program, which will be administered by the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, is intended to provide support to organizations to maintain or re-establish youth baseball and softball programs and/or facilities affected by the storm.

2013 World Baseball Classic field expands to 28 teams

World Baseball Classic, Inc. Major League Baseball players Thursday pledged their long-term support of relief and recovery efforts in Haiti by committing up to $1 million from the Major League Baseball Players Trust. The Basic Agreement requires that each Club use its revenue sharing receipts in an effort to improve its performance on the field. Fehr issued the following statement in response to today’s report in The New York Times. “Today The New York Times, once again, reports what it asserts to be information contained in documents under court seal. “We were shaken and deeply saddened when we learned about the terrible accident that claimed the lives of Nick Adenhart and others. 2009 World Baseball Classic to contribute more than $15 million

World Baseball Classic, Inc. (WBCI) will distribute more than $15 million in proceeds from the 2009 World Baseball Classic to the participating federations and the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), it was announced today. "Sergio Mitre and J.C. Romero were suspended for fifty games each by the Commissioner because they tested positive during the 2008 regular season for a Performance Enhancing Substance.
