Only the thick of a playoff chase could obscure the astonishing return of starter Yovani Gallardo, who hadn't pitched since May 1 due to a right knee injury. The right-hander, who tossed four innings, was long gone by the time Ryan Braun stroked his first career grand slam, a walk-off shot in the 10th inning.
