Brewers win sixth straight
Brewers 3, Nationals 1
Claudio Vargas held the Nats to just four hits and a run before leaving. (Morry Gash/AP)
The Brewers continued to get stellar starting pitching with another fine effort from Claudio Vargas, and went ahead in the eighth on Geoff Jenkins' RBI single. Jenkins also homered, and Francisco Cordero earned his fifth save in five days as Milwaukee completed the three-game sweep.
