It's experience vs. youth as Dickey faces Odorizzi
When the Rays and Blue Jays meet Monday at Rogers Centre, it will be a matchup of experience vs. youth. Thanks to their game being postponed Sunday against the Yankees, the Blue Jays will send their 38-year-old ace, R.A. Dickey, to the mound against 23-year-old Jake Odorizzi.

Blue Jays-Yankees finale postponed by rain
Persistent morning rain washed away the Yankees' finale against the Blue Jays before it even started on Sunday, and no makeup date has been announced. New York won the first two games of the series and will resume its season Monday against the Orioles with CC Sabathia on the mound.

Blue Jays' finale at Yankee Stadium postponed by rain
Blue Jays No. 1 starter R.A. Dickey will have to wait another day for his next start after Sunday afternoon's game vs. the Yankees was postponed because of rain. A makeup date has yet to be announced, but the two teams do share an off-day on Aug. 19 in advance of a three-game series at Yankee Stadium from Aug. 20-22.

JJ to make rehab start at Class A on Monday
Right-hander Josh Johnson is scheduled to make his first rehab start for Class A Dunedin on Monday night. Johnson has been out of action since April 21 because of soreness in his right triceps muscle.

Happ yet to throw off mound due to knee, not head
Left-hander J.A. Happ has yet to throw off a mound in Florida because of lingering soreness in his right knee. Happ is currently working out at the Blue Jays' Minor League complex in Dunedin, but his sprained knee has yet to fully recover from an injury sustained on May 7, when he was struck in the head by a line drive.

Jenkins, Ortiz to start first two games against Rays
The Blue Jays have announced their starting pitchers for Monday and Tuesday's games against the Rays. Right-hander Chad Jenkins will get the call on Monday and will be followed the next day by veteran hurler Ramon Ortiz. The decision previously had been on hold in case Toronto needed to use Jenkins out of the bullpen earlier in the week.

Matchup of aces pits Dickey against CC in finale
Injuries may have taken their toll on the Yankees and Blue Jays, but the teams' aces are at full strength, which could mean fans at Yankee Stadium will be in for a pitching duel on Sunday between Toronto's R.A. Dickey and New York's CC Sabathia.

Back with Blue Jays, Reyes progressing with rehab
Jose Reyes rejoined his teammates in New York on Friday night as he continues to rehab a severe left ankle sprain. Toronto's shortstop has been out of action since sustaining the injury while stealing second base on April 12 in Kansas City. He recently had a walking boot removed and has begun the slow process of regaining strength in the area.

Super utility man Emilio Bonifacio is making the most out of his opportunity to receive more playing time. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons recently made a decision to give Bonifacio an extended look after previously only using him sporadically during April.

McGowan promoted to Triple-A Buffalo
Right-hander Dustin McGowan is one step closer to making a possible return to the Major Leagues after he received a promotion to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday afternoon. McGowan is currently on a rehab assignment after undergoing yet another shoulder surgery last year.

Morrow returns to the hill facing Phelps, Yanks
With it being nearly two weeks since he last took the hill, Blue Jays right-hander Brandon Morrow is ready to make his eighth start of the season on Saturday against the Yankees in the Bronx. Scratched twice because of soreness in his upper back and neck, Morrow and the team now feel he is healthy enough to make the start. The Yankees will counter with David Phelps.

Blue Jays duo visits Cave Dwellers, Golf Club
Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion mixed business and pleasure Friday, when they brought their home run stroke to the Golf Club at Chelsea Piers. The two Blue Jays, clad in full uniform, sprayed golf balls and baseballs all over the place.
