Gallardo allowed just three hits and two runs over six innings Wednesday, but two of his four walks came back to bite him in a loss to the Pirates. The right-hander struck out five on the night. Overall it was a nice showing amid an up-and-down year.

The only problem with Greinke's first start back after undergoing collarbone surgery was that he ran out of gas after allowing one run in 5 1/3 innings. Greinke threw his regular bullpen session Saturday and seems fine physically.

Burgos has been effective in each of his two starts at Miller Park, holding opponents to a .205 average with seven strikeouts and only one walk. He left both games (vs. the Cubs on April 20 and the Bucs on May 1) in line for the win.
