MILWAUKEE -- Terry Collins lost a challenge in the ninth inning of Sunday's game against Milwaukee that kept a Brewers runner on first base.
The Mets manager's challenge came with one out in the ninth inning, when Khris Davis hit a dribbler to shortstop against closer Jenrry Mejia. Ruben Tejada charged the ball and threw to Lucas Duda at first.
The hustling Davis was called safe, and Collins challenged the ruling. After a review, the call stood, leaving Davis at first.
Davis would advance to second on a Jean Segura single, but the play was ultimately inconsequential as Mejia finished the save.
Collins has challenged 22 plays this season, with 11 of those calls being overturned. He was 2-2 in four challenges during this weekend's series in Milwaukee.
