Brewers to Host Italian Heritage Day at Miller Park on Sunday, July 1
Team Will Wear Special “Birrai” Jerseys for Game vs. Diamondbacks and All Fans Will Receive a Klement’s Famous Racing SausageTM Italian Bobble
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers will host “Italian Heritage Day” at Miller Park on Sunday, July 1 at 1:10 p.m. when they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Brewers and the Diamondbacks will each wear uniforms with the red, white and green colors from the Italian flag. The Brewers jerseys will read “Birrai,” which is “Brewers” in Italian, while the Diamondbacks will wear jerseys that say “iD-backs.” The Brewers jersey will be green with red accents and white lettering. “Birrai” jersey t-shirts and jerseys will be available at the Brewers Team Store by Majestic at Miller Park beginning late next week.
In addition, all fans in attendance will receive a collectible Brewers bobblehead, featuring the Klement’s Famous Racing SausageTM Italian, compliments of Klement’s Sausage. The Italian Racing Sausage will be featured wearing the “Birrai” jersey. Tickets for the game can be purchased by calling 414-902-4000 or by visiting brewers.com.
Festa Italiana and the Italian Community Center will host a special pre-game tailgate party and offer a special ticket package. For $55, fans can enjoy the pre-game ICC tailgate party and receive a ticket to the game. The package also includes free parking at the ICC, food and beverage at the tailgate and transportation to and from Miller Park. Tickets can be purchased through the ICC at 631 E. Chicago Street or by calling 414-223-2180.
On Italian Heritage Day at Miller Park, Festa Italiana will bring the Italian dance group, Tradizione Vivente, to perform at the game. Also, there will be information tables located on the Miller Park Field Level Concourse with brochures and special admission discounts for the event.
Festa Italiana will be celebrating its 35th anniversary from July 19 – 22 at Milwaukee’s Summerfest grounds.
The Brewers have worn special “Cerveceros” uniforms for “Cerveceros Day” in each of the last seven seasons and in 2011 wore “Bierbrauer” uniforms for “German Heritage Day.”
