Fielder says goodbye but plans to return
Slugger focuses on positives from 2010, not trade rumors

Fielder is a free agent after the 2011 season, but he has been the focus of trade rumors, and some have speculated that this could have been his last season in a Brewers uniform.
"I'm not even thinking about that," Fielder said. "Right now I'm just ready to go home. It's a little disappointing from a team standpoint. I'm going to look at the positives."
There were many positives for Fielder, who hit .261 with 32 home runs and 83 RBIs in 2010. He shattered his own franchise record with 114 walks, pushing his on-base percentage above .400.
"It was tough early in the season," Fielder said. "There was some tough pitching this year. From now on, I'm going to take it game by game."
Fielder bid farewell to his teammates as he would after any season finale, but he admitted there was something different about this day.
"I have a lot of good friends here," he said. "I will miss everyone here if something happens. For now, I'm thinking about coming to Spring Training as a Brewer."
For Ken Macha, all was quiet on the managerial front after Sunday's finale.
"It's out of my control," Macha said as to whether he would be back in 2011. "I feel like there are pieces here that have been put in place this year. It's going to be an opportunity to improve on the record next season."
When Macha was asked whether he thought he was the right person to lead that improvement, he simply responded, "It's not my decision."
