MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers and Kalahari Resorts today unveiled the "Kalahari Splash Zone" at Miller Park, which will serve as the new "Landing" area at the bottom of Bernie Brewer's slide.

"We're excited to unveil the Kalahari Splash Zone today, and we know that it will be a center of attention as Brewers players round the bases after every home run at Miller Park," said Brewers Executive Vice President - Business Operations Rick Schlesinger. "The partnership with Kalahari Resorts allows us to have a truly unique feature that is the first of its kind in sports."

During play at County Stadium, Brewers mascot Bernie Brewer traveled down a slide and into a large beer mug in celebration of every home run by a Brewers player. Now, a new era of home run celebration will dawn in Milwaukee.

Following every Brewers home run, Bernie Brewer will make a splash in the new "Landing" area, which will send an explosion of water into the air. While fans this year will stay relatively dry, the feature can be adjusted in the future to send more water into the air, giving fans seated below an experience similar to attractions at Kalahari Resorts.

The Kalahari Splash Zone will be ready for use during the Brewers next homestand, beginning on Memorial Day - Monday, May 25.

"We're delighted to bring the innovative waterpark excitement that Kalahari Resorts is known for to Miller Park," said Todd Nelson, President and Owner of Kalahari Resorts, located in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. and Sandusky, Ohio. "The design and technology for the new Kalahari Splash Zone was developed in our in-house theme shop which also creates the one-of-a-kind designs for indoor and outdoor waterparks.

As part of a new corporate partnership this season, Kalahari Resorts is known as the "Official Water Park of the Milwaukee Brewers." The partnership also includes signage around Miller Park and additional promotional rights for Kalahari Resorts.
