Brewers eclipse two million tickets sold on second-earliest date in franchise history

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers today announced that the Club has reached two million tickets sold for the 2009 season, marking the second-fastest climb to the milestone in team history. The two-million plateau was reached this morning.
The earliest that the Club has reached this mark for a season came on April 19, 2001, the first year that the team played in Miller Park. In comparison to last season when the Brewers set an all-time franchise attendance mark with over 3 million fans, the 2 million mark was reached on April 24.
"Ticket sales have been very encouraging coming off of last season's playoff run," said Brewers Executive Vice President - Business Operations Rick Schlesinger. "There are still great seats available for most home games this season, but we recommend that fans prepare in advance to ensure they have their seats reserved at Miller Park all summer long."
Through six home games, the Brewers have drawn 212,197 fans to Miller Park for an average attendance of 35,366. At the Home Opener on Friday, April 10 against the Cubs, Miller Park witnessed its second largest attendance ever at 45,455.
Individual tickets remain for most future home games, but advance purchase is encouraged. In addition, a pair of 9-Packs still remain - the Premier Plan and Hot Summer Nights - and a limited supply of Fan's Choice 20-Packs are still available.
