Brewers see increased attention at ticket office
Walk-up ticket sales during last series topped 24,000
tickets for any Major League Baseball game
MILWAUKEE, Wisc. -- The Milwaukee Brewers' improved performance on the field has lead to increased activity in the ticket office, it was announced today by Assistant Vice President of Ticket Sales, Jim Bathey.

During the recent home series against the San Diego Padres at Miller Park from May 28-30, more than 24,000 fans walked-up to the ticket office to purchase tickets on the day of the game including more than 9,200 on Saturday and Sunday.

"The ticket office has been very busy, even with the team on its current extended road trip," said Bathey. "We anticipate strong attendance numbers for the next homestand as well as during the rest of the summer months so we encourage fans to buy their tickets in advance to guarantee the best seat locations."

The Brewers' attendance is currently 11.2% ahead of last season's pace through the same number of home dates. Milwaukee has drawn 490,354 fans in 26 home dates (May 30) in 2004 compared to 435,555 in 26 dates (May 21) in 2003.

Milwaukee's next homestand is a 12-game effort against Roger Clemens and the Houston Astros from June 11-13, Ichiro Suzuki and the Seattle Mariners from June 15-17, Torii Hunter and the Minnesota Twins from June 18-20 and Jeromy Burnitz and the Colorado Rockies from June 22-24.

In July, the Brewers will take on their Central Division rivals in each of their 13 home games. Milwaukee will play the Chicago Cubs seven times, the first place Cincinnati Reds four times and the Pittsburgh Pirates in a three-game series (ends on August 1).

Fans interested in purchasing tickets for the Brewers remaining games at Miller Park should call the ticket office at 414-902-4000 or 1-800-933-7890. They can also visit the Brewers website at www.milwaukeebrewers.com and remote ticket outlets throughout Wisconsin. Groups of 25-or-more should call 414-902-4100 for their ticket needs.
