    Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper, the District of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation have joined together to create Bryce Harper Field at the Takoma Community Center in Northwest D.C. An official dedication ceremony will take place in early May.

    Major League Baseball and the Washington Nationals today announced that fans are now able to purchase tickets for two of All-Star Week's most exciting events for fans: GEICO All-Star FanFest and All-Star Sunday, which features the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game.

    Following a week in which he went 2-0 with a 1.13 ERA (2 ER/16.0 IP) and 21 strikeouts against just one walk, Nationals right-handed pitcher Max Scherzer was named the National League Player of the Week on Monday.

  • Nationals reinstate Matt Wieters and select the contract of Moisés Sierra

    The Washington Nationals recalled from rehab and reinstated catcher Matt Wieters from the 10-day disabled list and selected the contract of outfielder Moisés Sierra on Wednesday. Additionally, they placed outfielder Adam Eaton on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to April 9) with a bone bruise to his left ankle and designated catcher Miguel Montero for assignment. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcements.

  • Nationals Patriotic Series & Military Branch Days return for 2018

    The Washington Nationals will mark the return of the Patriotic Series presented by SAIC when the team hosts Military Appreciation Day on Thursday, April 12 vs. the Colorado Rockies. To honor the men and women of the U.S. military, the Nationals will offer complimentary tickets to military service members and their families for Thursday's game. Active duty service members, dependents, veterans, retirees, and reservists may claim up to two complimentary tickets for each military ID or proof of service, and purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate. For tickets, please visit the windows next to the First Base Gate on Potomac Avenue SE, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on April 12.
