•The Phillies are the only Major League Baseball team to open two new ballparks in the same year: Bright House Field (March 4) and Citizens Bank Park (April 12).

•Larry Bowa played in the last game at Connie Mack Stadium, got the first hit in Veterans Stadium, and he managed the Phillies in the last game at the Vet and the first game at Citizens Bank Park. Now, he's back as a coach.
