Dodgers at the plate: Andre Ethier had three hits and three RBIs and eight Dodgers scored a run, including Manny Ramirez, who went 1-for-2 with a walk but struck out with the bases loaded in the fourth inning. Ethier picked him up, lacing a three-run double to right-center field that briefly tied the score at 5.

Brewers at the plate: Mike Cameron, Prince Fielder, Corey Hart and Casey McGehee all blasted home runs on another breezy day at Maryvale Baseball Park as the Brewers scored eight of their first nine runs via the long ball. J.J. Hardy also homered late and Milwaukee improved to 5-1-1 in its past seven games. Cameron led the way with three RBIs and finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Dodgers on the mound: Starter Eric Stults worked a scoreless first inning but was charged with five runs on three hits and three walks in 2 1/3 innings. Claudio Vargas relieved Stults and did not fare much better, allowing four runs on four hits including two home runs in one inning of work. All four Dodgers pitchers surrendered at least one run. Brewers on the mound: Manny Parra was charged with five runs in 3 2/3 innings, but three of those runs scored after he was replaced by reliever David Riske, who surrendered a two-out, bases-clearing double to Ethier. Riske surrendered a run of his own in the fifth inning, and has allowed at least one tally in all six games he's pitched this spring. Cactus League records: Dodgers 12-14; Brewers 13-9-3 Up next: Offseason free-agent pickup Braden Looper will finally make his Cactus League debut on Thursday as Milwaukee plays host for the first of back-to-back games against the Texas Rangers. Looper was supposed to debut way back on Feb. 28, but he was a last-minute scratch because of pain at the back of his ribcage.Adam McCalvy is a reporter for MLB.com.
