Mariners at the plate: Left fielder Raul Ibanez hit his first home run of the spring, a two-run poke over the fence in left-center field. First baseman Richie Sexson and catcher Jamie Burke each had three singles.

Brewers at the plate: Left fielder Joe Dillon, a last-minute lineup addition, singled, doubled, tripled and drove in two runs. Right fielder Cory Hart went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs, two of them on a first-inning home run, his second of the spring, and shortstop J.J. Hardy hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to tie the game. Gabe Gross added a solo shot in the sixth, his third this spring. Bill Hall and Jason Kendall each had two hits.

Mariners on the mound: Right-hander Felix Hernandez wobbled in the first inning, surrendering three runs on three hits, and allowed five runs overall in 4 1/3 innings. Two of the seven hits he allowed were home runs. Right-hander Chris Reitsma and left-hander Arthur Rhodes, both coming back from elbow surgery, struggled in a three-run sixth inning.

Brewers on the mound: Starter Ben Sheets worked the first three innings, surrendering four runs in the first inning but none in the next two. The right-hander walked one and struck out three. Right-handed reliever Seth McClung followed Sheets and worked four scoreless innings to pick up the win.

Cactus League records: Mariners 7-10-1; Brewers 13-6.

Mariners up next: Right-handers Carlos Silva and Cha Seung Baek get starting nods in a split doubleheader. Silva, scheduled to start the season-opening three-game series finale against the Rangers at Safeco Field, will bypass the Rangers in Surprise and take on the Brewers at Peoria Stadium. Baek, clearly on the bubble for landing a spot on the 25-man Opening Day roster, has surrendered just one run in seven innings this spring. Former Rangers pitcher R.A. Dickey gets reacquainted with some of his former teammates as he's scheduled to follow Baek to the mound.

Brewers up next: The Brewers' final split-squad day comes at the perfect time, with both Carlos Villanueva and Chris Capuano scheduled to work five innings or 80 pitches on Monday. Villanueva will stay home to start for one squad against the White Sox at Maryvale Baseball Park, while Capuano travels to Peoria as the Brewers face the Mariners for the second straight day. Both are still vying for a spot in the starting rotation.
