International Soccer Match at Miller Park

Miller Park will host its first-ever international soccer match Wednesday, July 16 when Chivas Guadalajara's annual North American tour heads to Milwaukee. Popular Mexican soccer club, C.D. Guadalajara, affectionately known throughout the world as Chivas, will face off against English Premier League club Swansea City in an international match presented by Miller Lite.


Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 22 at 10 a.m. and range in price from $25 - $70. Parking is $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the match. The pitch will be laid out in an east-west orientation with one goal in left field and the other goal near first base. The match will start at 8 p.m., and the gates to Miller Park will open at 6:30 p.m. Parking lots will open at 4:30 p.m.

Swansea City Association Football Club — Established in 1912, Swansea City became the first Welsh team to play in the English Premier League, considered by many to be the world's top football league, after earning promotion in 2011. In 2013 they won the Football League Cup Final, which earned them a spot in the 2013-2014 UEFA Europa League. Swansea finished in 12th place in the EPL in the 2013-14 season and is led by Manager Garry Monk and Ivory Coast forward Wilfried Bony, the team's top scorer with 17 goals.
