Brewers baseball and neighborhood block parties are two Milwaukee summer traditions that have been enjoyed for years.
The neighborhood block party season and the "Brewers Block Parties" will return next season in the Milwaukee area. The Brewers Block Parties are sponsored in part by Brewers broadcasting partners, Newsradio 620 WTMJ and FS Wisconsin.
All Brewers Block Parties will feature appearances from Brewers players and coaches, Bernie Brewer and the World Famous Klement's Racing Sausages, and Brewers television and radio personalities. Raffle prizes featuring Brewers game tickets, game-used memorabilia and other autographed items will also be given away to fans in attendance each day. The Brewers merchandise trailer will be on hand with the latest in Brewers apparel. Free hot dogs, soda and potato chips (compliments of Klement's, Pepsi and Sportservice, respectively) will be provided for roughly 300 people.
All Parties are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will conclude by 1:00 p.m. Players and other special guests will arrive around 11:30 a.m. and will be introduced to the crowd before participating in a brief Q&A and an autograph session. The list of specific player appearances will be announced the week of each event. Additional information, updated player appearances and maps of block party locations will be posted here at brewers.com/blockparty.
In the first two years on the Brewers Block Parties, thousands of people have enjoyed activities throughout the metro area. The Block Parties were cited in a recent issue of ESPN The Magazine's "Fan Satisfaction Ratings" as a way the team works "to help spread Brewers love."
