Brewers name player development staff for 2012

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers today announced the Club's Player Development staffs for Triple-A Nashville, Double-A Huntsville as well as the roving staff for the 2012 season.

Mike Guerrero was named Manager of the Triple-A Nashville Sounds. Guerrero was the Double-A Manager of the Huntsville Stars for the previous two seasons and recently completed his 16th season in the Brewers organization. Guerrero will be joined by Al LeBoeuf who will serve as coach. LeBoeuf recently completed his second season in the Brewers organization serving as the Stars coach, and he has 23 years of overall experience as a minor-league manager or coach. The pitching coach at Triple-A Nashville will be announced at a later date.

Former Brewers Minor League Hitting Coordinator Darnell Coles has been named Manager of the Double-A Huntsville Stars. Coles recently completed his second season in the Brewers organization. John Curtis will return next year for his fourth season as Stars pitching coach and what will be his 10th season in the Brewers organization. Dwayne Hosey will join the Stars staff in 2012 as coach after spending the previous two seasons in a similar role with Class-A Brevard County.

Sandy Guerrero, who has spent the previous three seasons with the Sounds, will replace Coles as Brewers Minor League Hitting Coordinator in 2012. The rest of the roving instructors for the Brewers will remain the same in 2012: Charlie Greene, Field Coordinator & Catching Instructor; Lee Tunnell, Pitching Coordinator; Reggie Williams, Outfield/Baserunning Instructor; and Bob Miscik, Infield Instructor.

Don Money, who recently completed his third season as Sounds Manager and 14th season in the Brewers farm system, has been named Special Instructor, Player Development.

The rest of the Brewers 2012 Player Development staff including those with the Class-A Brevard County Manatees, Class-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, Rookie Helena Brewers, Rookie Arizona Brewers and Rookie DSL Brewers will be announced at a later date.
