Brewers land AirTran as partner for naming rights to AirTran Airways Landing Zone02/03/2009 3:58 PM ET
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers and AirTran Airways have reached agreement on a multi-year sponsorship and marketing partnership that includes the naming rights to the AirTran Airways Landing Zone (the all-inclusive seating area in right field formerly known as the Field Haus). The partnership was announced jointly today by Rick Schlesinger, Brewers executive vice president - business operations, and Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales, AirTran Airways.
"We're excited to be bringing a new partner on board in AirTran Airways, and we believe they are a great fit to sponsor the now renamed AirTran Airways Landing Zone," Schlesinger said. "With 245 consecutive sellouts for Brewers games since its debut in 2006, the venue has been one of our most popular entertainment destinations for groups coming to Miller Park."
In addition to the naming rights agreement, AirTran Airways will receive several additional elements in the partnership including Miller Park signage, in-game promotions and advertising in publications.
"AirTran Airways is proud to partner with the Brewers during a time in which both organizations are making an impact in Milwaukee," said Hutcheson. "We are excited that the AirTran Airways Landing Zone will be part of the Miller Park experience for millions of loyal Brewers fans."
The partnership between the Milwaukee Brewers and AirTran Airways is the first-ever between the two entities.
Tickets for the AirTran Airways Landing Zone will go on sale to new customers on Feb. 7. The number to call will be 414-902-4090.
