10/24/2008 10:43 AM ET
MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers today announced plans for several additional renovations and upgrades at Miller Park, all of which are designed to enhance the fan experience for 2009.

"Every year, we survey fans to understand their changing tastes and preferences," said Brewers Executive Vice President - Business Operations Rick Schlesinger. "We take great pride in seeing national surveys that rate the Miller Park fan experience at the top of all Major League ballparks, but we are committed to enhancing the facility and experience annually. We believe that these changes, and other improvements at Miller Park such as the Harley- Davidson Deck, will be appreciated by all Brewers fans in 2009."

Projects will include renovations to the Club Level Suites, the FanZone Store and the Miller Park Function Rooms. In addition, a new grass surface is being laid on the outfield, with all projects to be completed prior to Opening Day. All of the initiatives will be funded exclusively by the Milwaukee Brewers.

There are 43 suites on the Club Level, and each of them will be completely renovated with new wood floors with a carpet inlay, fresh paint, new furniture, and new lighting. In addition, the suites will be outfitted with new, flat panel HD televisions allowing fans to closely follow the action. The doors to the suites will be replaced with wood-framed frosted glass doors with the Brewers "M" logo, and a reconfiguration of walls inside will create additional space for socializing. Work has already been completed on Suite 30, which currently serves as a prototype and model for existing and prospective suite holders to tour. Interested parties may call the Brewers Suites department at 414-902-4029.

Also on the Club Level, the Brewers will debut the new 2008 Brewers Party Suite next season. The 2008 Brewers Party Suite, similar to the 1982 Brewers and 1957 Braves Party Suites, is a themed-suite located on the Club Level and is designed for groups up to 48 guests. The suite will contain photos, posters and color schemes representing the 2008 National League Wild Card winners. Pricing will be determined at a later date. The 1982 Brewers and 1957 Braves Party Suites have sold out for virtually every game the past two seasons.

The FanZone Store in the Hot Corner will undergo a facelift during the offseason as well. The newly renovated store will have special sections including a new hat and jersey wall, a special tailgate and Sausage Mascot section and a section dedicated to women's apparel.

The five Function Rooms available for events Miller Park will be upgraded with new décor and modern A/V capabilities. The five rooms slated for updating will be able to accommodate between 25 - 90 guests. While the meeting rooms will be under construction during the offseason, the Metavante Club and Gehl Club are still available for rental. For rental information, interested parties may call 414-902-4510.

On the field, work will begin soon on the installation of a new grass playing surface at Miller Park. The new field, which is not utilized in the off-season, will be ready for play when the Brewers return to Miller Park for the Club's Home Opener on April 10.
