American Kennel Club champion "Uno" to make Miller Park appearance
07/09/2008 11:46 AM ET
MILWAUKEE -- The "dog days" of summer are approaching and the Brewers will honor a very special dog on Saturday at Miller Park. "Uno," the 2008 Westminster Kennel Club Best in Show award winner, will be at Miller Park to participate in the first pitch, seventh inning stretch and will be on hand to take pictures with fans. Midwest Airlines, the official carrier of Uno, is donating the first pitch. It will be Uno's first-ever first pitch and it is believed to be the inaugural first pitch by a dog in Brewers history.

Uno will be accompanied by David Frei of the Westminster Kennel Club for the first pitch. During the seventh inning stretch, Uno will be dancing and barking along to "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and "Roll Out the Barrel" on top of the Brewers dugout.

From the first through third innings, Uno will be taking photos with fans near the Big League Blast in the left field corner of the Loge Level. Fans need to bring their own camera for the picture and each picture will require a $10 donation to Uno's charity of choice, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Therapy Dog Program.

Special "Uno" t-shirts will be on sale at the Big League Blast as well. The Brewers and Sportservice will donate $10 for each shirt sold to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Therapy Dog Program.

Midwest Airlines is sponsoring Saturday's giveaway item, a Prince Fielder drawstring bag for the first 40,000 fans in attendance. Midwest Airlines will also give away three sets of roundtrip airfare for two throughout the game.
